OK guys, I have been browsing these forums for a couple of months now and have read through numerous threads. I am starting another "Should I get on propecia" thread, with pictures, and would greatly appreciate any advice you can give.

I am 25 and have noticed slow receding in my left and right corners over the past 1.5-2 years. There doesn't appear to be any unusual activity elsewhere. I am at a point where I'm not sure if it's the right time to hop on propecia or if I should wait a bit more to see if things progress. It looks to me like there *might* be some miniaturization and thinning in the corner areas beyond the hairline, but am not completely sure.

I'm really not sure whether I'll be told to definitely go on propecia or that I'm crazy for thinking about it, so I really appreciate the help.

Family history?

I think it may be the very beginning of the process, it looks like you have a small amount of miniaturization but I don't think you need to go onto propecia yet. Maybe start using Nizoral occasionally and consider something like spironolactone cream at the hairline?

Take similar pics every 3-4 months and just stay aware of your hair.

I think you're Ok for now. How's family history on hairlines?

very slight miniaturization towards a mature hairline imo

a mature hairline is not male pattern baldness

family history of hair loss?

Thanks guys. I'm not too sure about the complete family history, but I do know that my Dad has a receding hairline and baldness at the crown. I don't know when it started for him, however.

I will keep an eye on it and probably pick up some spironolactone cream. Thank you again for the responses.
