I cant use finasteride. My T is very low for my age and no doctor will prescribe it right now and they have all said it will cause more damage right now will already super low T levels. I would need to wait a year after HRT to see what my T levels will be.

I'm hoping rogaine can improve my hair until I can get on finasteride in a year or two. But am I took far gone?

This is about a foot away with flash ON. Under normal light, it looks okay and no one can really notice.

Your hairloss isn't bad, under normal circumstances I'd say you are a good candidate for the big three, but with low testosterone that obviously is an issue. You can try alternatives like nizoral, topical spironolactone/s5, saw palmetto, preferably all of them. I've heard of people using topical finasteride too, by dissolving finasteride in some solution. Then there's dermarolling.

A more extreme solution would be hormone replacement therapy to bump up your testosterone levels and take finasteride, but you would have a hard time convincing a doctor to go with that.

I always wondered though, since finasteride prevents conversion of testosterone to DHT, wouldn't that result in more systemic testosterone?
