Is the top of my head thinning? My father and mothers side grandpa had hair loss that started in the center and spread to the front. They both had comb overs. I've always been worried about hair loss as it seems to run in the family, Noticed maybe two years ago that my hair would fall out a bit more than usual but I blamed it on stress at the time. My grandfather's hair loss only started when he was around forty and my father when he was in his late twenties so I thought I had a bit more time. I guess its wishful thinking though since my younger sister had hair loss when she was 13.
My family is split debating whether or not its because of the haircut I got recently since my head swirl has always been pretty big or actually thinning. I've started using minoxidil 5% and will see a dermatologist near the end of the month. Recommendations for shampoos would be cool.
Honestly hair loss is something ive always expected to happen, Its just kind of depressing that my hair will be gone sooner than I anticipated. My friends have told me its not too noticeable unless they're looking directly above me, and Ive shaved my head before.
