I am a 41 year old male. My hairline started receding in my early twenties. I had my first FUT procedure when I was 22 and had 3 more procedures with the last one taking place when I was 25. They were all in the range of 300 to 500 grafts per procedure and were all done from the hairline to middle section of the head. I just decided to have another FUT procedure done last week. It was a total of 1735 grafts. Most were placed in the front to the middle section of my hairline and the rest were used to fill in the bald/thinning spot (about 2 inches in diameter) on the crown area. Between the crown and front sections, it's still pretty full with natural hair. Unfortunately, I stopped taking propecia for over 10 years due to cost at the time and have only been doing minoxidil once daily. I have a prescription for propecia (generic form) now and will continue with minoxidil twice daily. My fear is that the natural hair I still have in middle and back section will start thinning, leaving me with unnatural looking balding areas. Is there anything else I can do to help retain my remaining natural hair or will Mother Nature take its course over time?
