Hey guys,
A few months ago I started to notice my hairline was quite high. I started reading about the topic and found out a lot about it. I talked about it with my dad, who told me it's just natural, and it will take years and years before anything becomes noticeable, and that I shouldn't worry about it.
I'm not too worried about becoming bald in general. As soon as I hit 30 or something like that I'm okay with shaving it all off, and just be bald. How I look like won't be the main thing that defines me as a person and how content I am with life. I've got some friends who went bald very early, about 25-26, and still have success with women and are confident.
Point is, I'm not 30 yet. I'm 18. And I don't want to have a receded hairline when I'm still in college.
My dad is somewhere between NW4 and NW5, and my grandpa on my mom's side was bald in his 30s.
Looking through pictures of myself, my hairline has always been quite high - nothing too bad, just generally high. As soon as I started to notice my hair I've also had a particularly bad case of dandruff, which I believe did cause some thinning (all the hairs that have fell out carried a bit of dandruff with it at the base.) I've been on a selenium sulfide regiment for a month now, and the dandruff is almost gone. Not sure if my hair loss is also less - I still lose quite a bit after showering.
I want to know for sure whether I'm balding or just tripping about my hairline becoming mature. Because right now I'm constantly stressing about it and don't know what to do.
If I'm not balding and just getting a mature hairline, I'm happy. If I am actually balding, I'll just have to see a dermatologist and get on treatment - and be happy as well.
So, I'd appreciate you guys' opinions on my hair. Notice that my right temple is more receded than my left temple, this could've also been the case for all of my life as I never really paid any attention to it up to now.

Thanks guys!
