I was wondering what you guys think. I have little family history maybe 1 uncle on my moms sides who is 45-50 with maybe a norwood 3-4. These pictures were taken after I purposely let my hair get oily for a few days instead of it looking better after taking a shower.
I have prescription I just got about 1 week ago for propecia but im doubting whether its bad enough or really male pattern baldness.

Yes, looks like you are thinning. Finaseride (Proscar, Propecia, Finpecia,...) is your way to go.

alright im gonna try propecia as deathly scared of it as I am. I got a prescription for it already, but even the derm didnt see much to impress him and I have pretty much no family history.

im thinking this the generic propecia. I want generic propecia thats not imported from like india. Should I just pay for the real propecia and get it at a local pharmacy?

He has preety long hair. I got a friend who has the best hair i have ever seen and every time he runs his hand through his hair you can see tens of hair on his hand. Thats been going for some years now and he has not thinned a bit. My x-girlfriend(also long hair) only had to lean on my shoulder to leave 5-6 hair there. Everytime one of my sisters have a shower you can see a bunch of hair on the floor. Anyway you get my point.

I can see some slighlty thinning but not sure its really a problem. Anyway if you feel worried about it get on propecia, although i would advise you to hold on for a while.

thats what im thinking maybe wait a bit. I have got a prescription but I knew I would think about it and maybe not take it. Im tempted to get generic propecia which is about 30 a month then take .5mg a day instead of 1 so I pay 15 a month which is doable. Im just scared of taking finasteride period. The thought of higher testosterone, more androgen receptors, sheds, man boobs, all scare me a lot. Im scared about liver damage 10 years from now among other things. Its a gamble and im not sure its worth it yet.

T-Gel

Ola!

how important is T-Gel/Nizoral to the success of other treatments? I wash my hair with water pretty much every time i jump in the shower but only shampoo and condition it twice a week.

The problem is when i wash shampoo my hair it seems fluffy and difficult to style, i try not to use styling products to much anyway and usually just whack on a bit of Zirh gel in the morning...my question is can i use my T-Gel jus tht eonce per week or is it a waste of time? i don't have any scalp itchiness/redness but maybe thats just the shampoo doing its job?

just to resurrect my dead post I think I am losing hair, but with no family history its a very tough choice. I really shouldnt be genetically speaking, unless its just a little loss as I age?
