For the past couple months I've been very worried about my hair. But first, let me give you some background; I'm 20 a year old white male, with NO aggressive male pattern baldness in my family. I do not know anyone in my family that has been classified beyond a Norwood 3.5 with the exception of a distant cousin. Most of the men in my family have a thick head of hair. With that said, my father and uncle on my mother's side developed a receding hairline (Norwood 2-2.5) in their 30s and have pretty well maintained it for many years. My grandfather on my mother's side developed diffuse thinning in his late 50s.
I've always had a high hairline ever since my childhood, but it never bothered me. Lately however, I've noticed that each side of my hairline has moved up maybe half an inch and my overall density has reduced. I would just like to have some feedback on whether I need to act now and get on medication (Propecia, Rogaine, etc) or if I just need to stop worrying. This is starting to affect my life to the point where it's all I can think about. Any help would be appreciated
