Hey so I know there are a lot of posts about this. I'll keep it as short as possible.
Noticed hair getting very thin at age 20, started taking propecia & minoxidil. Hair grew back like crazy and thinning stopped. Continued using for years until switching to generic CVS brand in 2014.
Using generic & shedding begins, a lot. Can tell it's not working less plus for some reason lower sex drive / erection issues (not sure if correlated but that was my experience). I had read 0 about generic finasteride before this happened.

Switch back to propecia, all is great to the point that I stop using propecia because I forget that I even need it.
Hair starts thinning again.
Ok time to get back on, let's try generic now, it's been years it must have improved.
Been on CVS generic for 3 weeks, again, hair is shedding like crazy. Every time I'm in the shower shed hair is on my hands. Something that never happened with propecia. I truly am not sure why this is happening. I know people say it's pretty much the same thing but I'm seeing a difference. However, Propecia costs $130 A MONTH.
Anyone had the same issue? Is there a better generic alternative? thank you.
