Hello,

Attached you will find a handful of images. Slightly concerned that my hair is thinning and falling out with spots. I am thinking about seeing a dermatologist, but don’t want to waste their time or my money. A side note is my hair comes at a natural widows peak in my hair line, it’s been like that for ages. I am 24 years old and my father and his grandfather were completely bald. On my mothers side her dad and all her brothers have a full head of hair. I have very long hair about shoulder length, the images attached (black and grey image) from two years ago, the one with a blue shirt is from 3 years ago, others are current. Can’t tell if that spot in back is just another cowlick or is another sign of recession. Let me know what you think.

What are the side effects? It just seems weird because no excessive hair on pillow or a great amount of hair brush and I brush my hair everyday.
side effects are apparently none for most people. some ppl have reported ed. do some research and decide for yourself. imo it’s worth trying and if you get sides you stop medication. your crown is getting raped atm

You're thinning at the crown but your hairline is still 100% intact. So as long as the crown thickens up if you start finasteride, you should be set for life.

Okay, I will schedule with a dermatologist and see what they say. It is just strange because in some pictures the crown looks totally fine and then in others it looks thin even if the hair is pushed back in the same way depending on the light and how highlighted my super blonde hair is. If ED does occurs from the medication I choose losing my hair than having a lack of ability in my penis.

Well, most people don't suffer from ed after starting finasteride, it's rare. Your libido might take a small hit but it won't be anything major.

I agree with all above comments, your crown is showing thinning, but your hairline is completely fine. Nothing finasteride + Minoxidil can't fix (unless it isn't practical to apply minoxidil twice daily).

Even if you don't hop on meds I doubt you'll go fully bald. Maybe your crown area will be completely empty in a few decades but you might still have your hairline. I see a lot of old people with severe crown balding but a good hairline.
