Am I affected by hairloss ?( 17/male)

Hey guys,
I am new here. I am 17 years old and I am wondering, if I am balding.
I have attached some photos from every angle of my head. The few photos where my scalp is more visible, is where my hair is drenched in water andshampoo.

Time is of the essence though. The longer you wait the worse off you are. A lot of people can see scalp when hair is wet. I think that is the first sign of balding if you include shedding on pillow and in shower.

I have to disagree. It is 100% normal to see your scalp, when your hair is wet and/or shampooed. If you can see your scalp when it is dry, then it is a sign of balding.

In my opinion, no, you shouldn't. Just out of curiosity, how is your family history like?

My father has the same thick hair just like me. He has really long hair for men (shoulder lenght). He just has a mature hairline with no hairloss. He is currently 44.
My mothers father has experienced hair loss. He lost most of his hair in his mid 40s.

Given your mother's side history I guess you should worry, but not now. Keep an eye on it.

Hair does look thinning, considering your age I would consult a dermatologist, you could try a shampoo like Regenepure DR to try and inhibit scalp DHT.

I have thick hair and the photos are really taken with the worst angles possible. I think, that scalp visibilty is 100% normal, when hair is wet and shampooed (even the scalp of my 11 year old brother is visible when its shampooed and wet). Considering, that I am 17 I do not think, that I have to worry. Thanks for your reply

Guys I have good news. I went to a dermatologist. She took a look at my hair and scalp and said I am not affected by hairloss. She wven praised my hair for being thick. She did notice some dandruff and gave me a medical shampoo for it. It turns out @I wont lose this was right. Thank you guys!
