Alright screw it should i get back on Finasteride.

Ok so i order spironolactone but the more i search and the more i read its seems everything points me back to finasteride. Give me your honest opinions cause im sick of messing with this hairloss crap. I was on finasteride for about a year with minoxidil, it seemed to be working. I really had no sides except for watery semen but libido and everything was fine even the first few weeks it was ok. I was getting the generic stuff and cutting it to 1.25 although it was probably closer to 1mg with the crumbs that were lost.

Well the reason i stopped was stupidly i started reading the horror stories again and then came accross an article about how it fine for men sexually healthy but unknown for men with pre problems, well i have a vericose vein so that got me worried and i quit. A week after quiting i was put on prozac for depression and couldnt oragasm so i quit after a week and im pretty sure it was just stress. Well after that it took 2-3 months before my sexual function was correct again and i dont want to go back through that if i do quit again.

So do i just say the hell with it and start it again since it was working and i was even regrowing hair with the minoxidil, even though i have the vericose vein and am 23, or do i give this spironolactone i ordered a try. What is everyones honest opinions.

The bonus is finasteride is cheap to get, i would get it from http://www.inhousepharmacy.com/ and its not a pain to use. The risk is, i get off it again at some point in order to maybe have kid or whatever reason and start shooting blanks again for a few months maybe longer.

I understand man, finasteride's potential side effects can be scary. Well, they don't seem to scare me at all but I understand how they could. I think the fact that you had good results on finasteride definitely means you should get back on it. Those side effects were probably imagined, or even due to the Prozac. My vote is get back on finasteride ASAP, bud.

The thing that worries me most isnt actually experiencing the shooting balcks for a while again its the possible infirtility since i alread i have a vericose vein. I have read one studdy of someone who did and was on finasteride and upon getting off everything returned to normal. I was never one who really worried about sides until that happened when i stopped. Its just they side effects claims are always for sexually healthy men and technicaly i wouldnt fall into that even though everything seems to be working great once again.

what does having a varicose vein do with anything?

i don't see how that would affect your health or infertility on finasteride.

varicocele

a varicocele is an enlarged vein in the scrotum area, jsut like a varicose vein but in a localised region. any effects upon the functioning of the body are purely mechanical ie/ lack of circulation, too high testicular temp etc/. most side effects of finasteride one would presume to be chemical or hormonal, and as finasteride effects no measurable physical change then i'd hope to be right in saying that any connection between a varicocele and side effects from finasteride would have to be either imagination or coincidence.

Yeah varicocele is what i meant. Good to know, i think i will give the spironolactone i just recevied a shot and if i dont see at least some stabilization i will get back i nthe finasteride. Thanks everyone.

ok screw it, i just ordered more. Is this ok starting it again after quiting and should i have success with it again since i did the first time.

most likely going back on the drug will effect you in a similar manner as it did the previous time you used it. however this is the human body, and one can never say for sure exactly what will happen. atypical responses are par for the course

Cool thanks. When i first took it i never really had any sides till after stopping so i will just chaulk it up as a combo of stopping the finasteride, then getting on and off prozac which fecked with things, on top of being stressed.

Powersam might be right, but there's a good chance it was a "combination" of products, along with stress that actually caused the sides. So try it again. If it happens again, stop. If not, keep it up.
My sides were bad when I went on it 9 years ago. I quit, then restarted last year. Almost No sides whatsoever. Things change. Good luck.

Should be here withing a couple weeks. I dont have any anxiety over starting it again anymore. I think it was just getting over the hump and ordering. Like i said the sides came after i stopped and i actaully had alot of other things going on in my life as well so im pretty sure it was just the combo of everything. I just know after the year i was on it it really thickened things up from my hairline back, I also used minoxidil 1-2x a day. This time i will get pictures.

hope its all going well for you dude, you did the right thing by stopping everything and then bringing things back one by one. only way of properly isolating whatever it was that made the difference. stress in combination with other factors can have a massively deleterious effect on the body so with a calmer lifestyle fingers crossed you'll find you have less problems with side effects on finasteride. an if you smoke, stop. bound to make your wang a little floppy
