Alopecia test

Hello my name is Alexandra I am 24 years old and 5 months(end of august 2011) ago I was diagnosed with alopecia areata!!I noticed a small patch at the back of my head that has grown since then!I have used 1 cream for 2 months without any result!!then the doctor told me to have a blood test!the results were ok so he send me to a specialist!the specialist gave me another cream which I am using for 1 week now!I have searched on the internet about an alopecia test where you send a sample with your hair and they analise it and they tell what you have that affects your organism!Do you think I should go for it????I am desperate((((((((((

From personal experience, i would stay away from any hair loss drugs. i found that not only were they negatively impacting on my day to day life, but eventually becoming reliant on certain drugs caused further hair loss. i am much fonder of non surgical solutions and there are lots of alternatives. would be happy to discuss

Hello and thank you for replying!!I agree with you and I dont want to use any drugs on my head!!what alternatives are there???Have you had the same issue???what did you do?I am really concerned and obviously I am very stressed!

there is a perfect alternative that i finally found - took a long time thoguh!! i didnt want a surgical procedure, so i found non surgical hair replacement with monofilament wigs. Have you heard of Bloomsbury of london?
