Re: HELP !!!!! urgent

?????????

That patch at the bottom of the neck?

I'm guessing it's been miscut (Your barber with the clippers), or a scar.

Re: HELP !!!!! urgent

It cant be.
Maybe he fooled me ? ??

he started cutting and then he went - "did you notice it ?"
I asked what
"a bald spot . It wasn't there when you came some months ago...
look... ~showing it with a mirror.~
I know that kind of problem. it's caused by stress.... go to a doctor it will be ok by time".

Tell ya the truth
I didn't notice it before and didn't get any comments
but my hair was longer...

Well, if there is stubble there tomorrow you know your barber slipped
If not, oh dear, it's alopecia

I have Alopecia Areata, and that definitely looks like AA to me! It's hard to believe your barber could mess up as badly as that, and certainly not a clean spot, i.e. no stubble. And if it was a scar you'd have noticed it before.

It could be stress related - mine is. Mine occured during a period of intense stress about 5 years ago, and it's quite a bit worse than yours. Plus, it's on the side of my head, which makes it more noticeable. It hasn't got any worse in 5 years, but it hasn't got any better either. On top of this, I also have male pattern baldness (NW3), so thanks god. :bravo:

It's impossible to say what will happen in your case. You may not lose any more hair, and it may even grow back, or you may lose a lot more! However, I suggest two things:

1 - Relax - as I say, it could be stress related (though it can occur for no particular reason!)

2 - Go and see a dermatologist, ESPECIALLY if it gets worse, or you develop more bald spots. The earlier you treat it the better. There is treatment, but you may have to take it for life.

I was stupid. I didn't get treatment, and now it's probably too late. All I can hope is that a hair transplant will work (which it does sometimes does if the AA has been inactive for several years).
