Allergic reactions from Rogaine and Rogaine foam - what now?

Hey!

I'm 22 years old, receding from the temples now for 2 years. I started Rogaine last August and had some decent results after 4-5 months of using, but then became allergic to it. Every time I'd put on Rogaine, I'd get very severe reaction on my skin: big chunks of skin wiht hair on them dropping off my temples, crazy itching and skin turning red and dark.

I took a break from Rogaine and then tryied applying Rogaine Foam, but after 1 or 2 weeks, the same thing happened again. While I was using Rogaine I was also using Nizoral at the same time (about 3 times a week), but it didn't help much.

Is there anything else (minoxidil) that I could try? Anyone has had the same problem? All advice welcome!

I'm not on finasteride and not planning on taking it now, because I'm afraid it will lower my sex drive or changed my body in some way.

Thank you all!

Your not alone bro. I'm the same I tried rogaine and even dr lees without ppg. The reason it irritates our skin is because of the high alcohol %. So I ordered nanominox which has low alcohol % and no ppg I hear its really good for the scalp and not 1 person with itchyness.

Thanks man!

I was just thinking of ordering Dr Lee's without ppg... But it irritates the skin just like Rogaine didl, huh? Good to know, just might save me some money to skip it then.

Couple of questions though:

Reviews of nanominox look promising, but their whole website/shop look a little weird... So you managed to order? Are you located in the EU too? And is there any other minoxidil product out there that has low alcohol?

Again, thank you kind sir.

no problem man

trust me dr lees with no ppg irritated my skin the same as rogaine my skin was red and scaly and my eyebrow hairs would come out with white skin :S

as soon as i stopped it 4 months after it went back to normal

i know nanominox website is crap and there customer service is bad at times too but i ordered anyways i heard nothing but good reviews

and no i dont think theres any other minoxidil with low alcohol and no ppg besides nanominox , im actually located in canada so its gonna take like 3 or 4 weeks im guessing :S so if you order order like 3 bottles
