Pretty simple question, wondering if you can use LLLT on damp hair? I know prior to using a LLLT device youre supposed to have a clean head, free of minoxidil, etc

ive always done my sessions with sort of wet hair, not dripping wet but damp. wondering if this is ok to do ?

It's not a scam. I've yet to see a single clinical trial with LLLT that showed it not grow hair. I use it when my hair is damp all the time so the laser hits my scalp

I think this product is just a scam.

Definitely not a scam, Ive personally had good results with LLLT and bad results as well. You just have to stay consistent. the results arent as significant as minoxidil, but i feel like it gives my hair more strength, density, etc ...

Thanks for the reply. Ive been doing my lllt with damp hair for a while now, if you dont mind me asking, whihc device do you have ? and whic have you tried?

I currently have a laserband 82 by hair max but before that i had the IGROW by aspira science. I feel like the igrow gave me better results tbh ...

I just use the Hairmax Lasercomb 7. It was SO cheap (150)

I use my helmet while my hair is damp.
I read something about a totally dry scalp being more reflective. Don't know if that is true or not. But I use mine right out of the shower.

I'm not trying to sh*t on the laser thing. I use it myself in helmet form. But the laser comb....don't waste your time and money. Those things don't have nearly enough lasers and power to stimulate. And you are constantly moving it over your head. That's doing you no good. You want the lasers to be stationary. Yeah, helmets are expensive. But if you're gonna go the laser route, it's best to get something with lots of lasers and something that you wear instead of moving.

Here is a picture of the inside of mine. plenty of power, and all you have to do is strap it on and surf the internet for 20 minutes. Hands free.

Just goolgle OMG laser helmet. He has a site . Also shows you how to make your own if you're handy. I made my first one from scratch and used it for about a year. Then I ordered a kit from him. I had to wire it up myself. That saved me some $$$$. Although, he does sell them complete.

Interesting, is this the same as the OverMachoGrande LLLT helmet, and how many laser diodes does that helmet have. Im not sure if youre familiar with hairmaxs newer LLLT devices. The one i have the Laserband 82, has 82 "medical grade" lasers, again i think thats total BS. my Igrow wasnt medical grade and i thought i worked better. However im curious to know how many lasers yours has

Yes , OverMachoGrande.
He has been given a lot of flack on hairloss forums in the past. I ordered a 250 diode helmet kit.(posted a picture a few posts back). The medical grade lasers, those are the ones supposedly used in devices used by clinics and such.

Id be lying if i said ive never heard of him. Hes quite popular, i just feel uneasy about his website. It looks unprofessional, it makes me question weather the product is safe to use. I know u should never judge a book by its cover, specially with how many people have said theyve gotten good results from his helmets. Do you have any before and after pics ? or has it just stopped your hairloss, which is great if it did anyway. I truly believe in LLLT, i know it works. Ive tried 2 of the "best" or at least most expensive commercial devices but theres always new ones coming out.

if its in my budget im differently picking one up, since his site doesnt really have prices, could you tell me how much you were charged for the DIY Kit. im sure id be able to assemble it

is 15 mins the recommended time for your hairmax comb (is that 1 session) ? or did you increase the amount of sessions ?

It's my recommended time. I have the hairmax lasercomb 7. I don't understand how those other devices could work in 5 minutes or less like advertised with the more expensive models. I sometimes use it for 20 minutes, as I slowly comb through the NW7 area twice. I really do think it has helped thinken up my hair. Not crazy regrowth... but I'm also wary to stop using it becuase who knows if it's helping maintenance
