Advice wanted on minoxidil regime

Currently I take Propecia and a multi-vitamin everyday, and recently started using miconazole nitrate.

I've been on Propecia for 11 months, and although I don't have pics from what I can see I haven't got worse. If I have it certainly won't be by much.

Would adding minoxidil be worth while? My main issue is my crown, I looked under it in light earlier today and got a horrible shock when I saw how much it's thinned.

I didn't shed much from propecia, in fact I'm not shedding many hairs at all now which I guess is a good sign. I've heard minoxidil causes pretty bad shedding though? How long would this normally last?

Also what brand of minoxidil would you recommend? From what I've read the liquid seems better. Sorry for all the questions :)

If you need regrowth, you should add minoxidil to your regimen. Especially if your crown is just thin and not slick bald there is a good chance to get improvement. It works much better in combination with finasteride, so go for it.

Shedding varies from person to person, but normaly it goes unnoticed, it's just a small increase in hairfall, but it should grow back very soon. Don't worry about it.

Well having read some more about minoxidil, it seems to only affect hair that is dormant and ready to shed anyway.

Luckily for me I dyed my hair about 3 months ago, and can clearly see most of the hair in the region has about 2 inches worth of root growth; so hopefully this means the majority is already in the growth phase and you're right about not noticing the shed =).
