I'm hoping someone out there can give me some advice. My husband had one set of hair transplants about 8 years ago. They did not turn out very well. They are pluggy and raised. In order to cover that up he went to HCM. His system does not look that great. He has long hair and the front never looks exactly right.

My problem is I want to talk to him about maybe exploring the idea of ditching the system and looking for corrective solutions for the hair transplant scarring. I'm afraid I'll really hurt him. He is so sensitive.

I just wish we had never started with any of this. Life would be so much easier if he could just be bald.

Any advice how to delicately talk to him or solutions for hair transplant scarring would be appreciated.

I hope all guys read this post and realize how accepting hair loss is part of the battle as well as fighting it.

To wife, the original poster, I am by no means an expert on hair transplant corrective surgery, but there are many people here who have had transplants. A week or so ago someone posted this link to a respected hair transplant facility that does corrective surgery: http://www.hairtransplant.com/

On the topic of addressing you husbands issues: Men are sensitive about losing our hair. I would ask yourself if the reason you are asking for help is that you want to fix his appearance because he is uncomfortable with it, or because *you* are uncomfortable with it. The only way to approach the subject with him is if it will be something that will ease his conscious, not yours.

Bruce, could you help her out, it sounds as if she's trying to help her husband here... maybe direct her to the right place?
