Advice on Rogaine?

Im on about my third month on Finasteride, and ive been experiencing the shed, though I think I might be getting past it, slowly, who knows, I could be wrong, then again, but anyway, I figure while my hair is at its worst, might as well pull out the big guns even further, and get past the rogaine shed while Im already used to having crappy hair due to the finasteride shed, but I do have a few questions about starting Rogaine. About how long does the initial shed last? I read on the official site that it should be around 2 weeks, and if its longer to talk to a doctor. About how long does it generally take to see results? And finally, which is more effective, all around, foam or liquid? Any additional advice is also greatly appreciated.

No doubt if you're a hair loss sufferer, you've had to deal with the most unpleasant part of it: That is SHEDDING!
Shedding is temporary. If the individual continues their treatment consistently, despite the seeming despair and loss of hope, shedding will end and the lost hair should be replaced.
It can last anywhere from from 1 month to 4 months depending on each individual.Usually after four months the shed tapers down and you start to see the first signs of regrowth.
You have to stick with it though trouout the shedding and the ups and downs....starting and stopping is even worse for your hair.
I would say go for the foam, definitely. It is not nearly as detrimental to the appearance of your hair and doesn't cause itch hardly at all.

Yup, the shed is making me feel pretty hopeless. Well, it has been, I started the finasteride shed pretty early on, though I know Im still early on in treatment as a whole. I was originally hoping that the finasteride, and vitamins Im taking alone would give me a good bit of regrowth, but Im getting to the point of rather waiting, to spring for a total hair loss bomb, combining finasteride and minoxidil. Especially with all the success people seem to have with the combination.

I didn't get a shed at all from minoxidil. In fact nothing makes me shed, out of all the treatments I've tried.

Hopefully Ill be as fortunate with minoxidil. The Finasteride shed has been horrific. IVe never had to remain so hopeful in my entire life lol still holding on.

no one really knows what is more effective, regarding foam and liquid minoxidil. you could argue that liquid has more contact with the scalp and has pg, which is a good vehicle. Some get irritated skin from the liquid though.
So do as so many others: liquid at night, since it dries in like 4 hours and foam in the morning since it dries in like 10 min.

If you get an irritated scalp, just drop the liquid and go for foam twice daily.

I prefer the liquid over the foam. It dries quite fast for me (about 5-10 minutes) doesn't run down my head too bad. It doesn't cause any irritation either. The downside with the foam I found was that the directions say to use half a capful. I always feared I was using too much or too little. The liquids spray applicator measures it out for you.

About how long would you say it took to get good results?
