Hey guys,
I'm male, 22 years old.
I've started to lose hair when I was 17, at which time, I went to a specialist and was advised to take Propecia. I took the pills for about 9 months and saw very decent results. My hairloss was not extreme, but it started very soon so the doctor advised to battle it in its early stages. I had a pause for about some time after that 9 months period and then started using Rogaine 2.2%. I had tremendous results with it. I had a lot of fun in those days with my hair. I think I damaged my hair a lot back then using straighteners, etc. I was about 20 then.
9 months ago, my hair started to shed extremely again. I immediately stopped styling it and shove it to 2cm for about 4 months in a row hoping it would recover, but it did not.
My situation right now is pretty crappy, my hair is thin overall and pretty much all the center of my head is very low on hair
Sorry to make this long, but I wanted to give a good background. I want to start a new regimen again and would appreciate any feedback you guys may have on it. I've put it together by reading numerous posts on this forum.
Topical:
Rogaine 5% foam - twice daily
Eucapil - once daily
Supplements:
Black Currant Oil - 500 mg - one tablet daily
Spirulina 500 mg - one tablet daily
MSM 1500 mg - one tablet daily
Optionally considering daily supplements:
500 mg ALC
200 mg ALA
Bition 5000 mcg
Shampoo:
????
I know that some of the material in the supplements require supportive other substances so that the body can absorb them. Some may also don't work together well or cancel each other out. I'm not sure if the regimen I'm planning on taking has this condition in it or not. Any lights shed on this matter would highly be appreciated. I understand, I need to take some sort of Vitamin C so that MSM can be absorbed, any recommendations on that?
Also, what's up with Saw Palmetto, is it really necessary?
I want to stay away from Finasteride, its side effects bother me.
I'm still not sure if I want to do the "optional" supplements above. Any recommendations on that would be appreciated too.
I'm planning on starting this regimen mid September. After I have some opinions, I'll take it on and post results here regularly.
Thanks a lot for any advice in advance.
