Really confused what to do in my next hair step, would love some advice anyone in similar shoes or had this experience -

My situation is as follows, Finastride 1MG a day for the last 1 year and a half now.
Minoxidil for 2-2.5 years.
Age: 35

I’ve tried over the years a few things including laster hair treatment but not seeing any real growth. With the medication listed above I feel I’ve slowed the rate of hair loss/thinning down but not really any regrowth.

I recently got married in January, so the Finastride I’m looking if I can to slowly get off it. What this means is that in the last 3 months, rather than 1 a day, I will take 1 every 2 days then off. Then repeat.

In the last 2.5 months, I’ve also been doing a weekly mesotheraphy course in London. While doing this, they have advised me to go off Minoxidil so it does not clash with the fluid that they used while they do needling/dermarolling on my scalp. So I have been off Minoxidil complete for now 2.5 months.

What I feel that now in the last month more noticable my hairline is also starting to get effected which is obviously a further concern to me as first it was only my temple, specifically me left temple bothering me.

If you see the picture attached it shows a picture from today and from the end of Jan the difference.
I’d like to take some advise and see whats recommended, do you feel now I’m at a stage where I need a hair transplant - something like this - https://www.instagram.com/p/Bvwd2NipmBQ/

I’d like to find a way, of course non surgical if possible but if it has to be surgical then so be it - to correct this hairline and also my temples and try to sort this out once and for all as in the past 2-3 years trying different things, I really feel I’ve lost money for an effect which has not given what I wanted in terms of filling up the spaces.

Thoughts?

Going off minoxdil will do the opposite of regrowth. You will loose all minoxidil dependant hair. I advise you to stop using that fluid. Also dont get off finasteride, you will start to loose hair as well.
You only have minoxidil and finasteride to save and maybe regrow some hair. These 2 are for the average hair loss sufferer. I dont know about other treatements that grow hair and dont affect hormones, but I know some that do and provide impressive regrowth.
TLDR; dont drop finasteride, restart 1 mg per day, and get on minoxidil asap

You can tell this lady to f*** off.
You have two and only two treatments approved by the FDA for hair loss: minoxidil and finasteride.
You take both to save your hair.

Your hair thinned out because you stopped minoxidil and started not taking finasteride daily.

This is really scary to get this information from people in clinics like this.
I paid 1500GBP for this mesotheraphy course, I go in once a week for it and ontop of that it's getting worse and they are saying "it's normal its going to recede as you went off minoxidil, it will be fine as minoxidil is not good for you"

Finastride, I'm trying to have kids so I need to slowly get off it

A lot of people post here their experiences with these expensive scam clinics.
I really recommend to stop going to any clinic and religiously stick to your treatment. (big 3)
I've heard you can stop taking finasteride before a week before conceiving then continue normally. Its a fact that finasteride doesnt lead to foetus abnormalities. But do not let a pregnant woman to even touch finasteride. Ever.
