First off I would like to thank everyone who participates here in the Surgical Options forum. Both for your tenacity, and your ability to communicate with eachother in an intelligent and respectful manner.
Please be advised that the topic of shills on the forums has always been an important one for us. There are people watching, and taking note already, and any indication we may have that someone is associated with a transplant practice will be addressed offline, with the individual. I see no point in the quality of the information on this site being compromised by financially biased individuals.
I would however expect satisfied patients to be emotionally biased, and they should be allowed to express their appreciation here. It would be up to you as an intelligent consumer to decide exactly how much importance to give their glowing comments about the surgeon in question.
The good thing is that HairlossTalk has no "bad blood" with any transplant surgeon currently in practice. Anywhere. This means that I believe most transplant surgeons respect and appreciate this website without any animosity, and along with that comes a fairly high rate of respect from them, regarding the rules.
This thread is purely to reassure everyone that we are aware of the potential problem, and are paying close attention. If you have any concerns about a specific member, just shoot Gardener or Cassin a PM and they will keep an eye out.
