about smoking and hairloss

im 20. i started smoking with 19. my hairloss began with 18. i started propecia with 19. okay, that for the facts.

now when i started smoking (my hairloss was stopped there already) my hair got noticable thinner. i estimate it got about 1/3 less density. so i think if i know stop smoking i will get +50 % more density. it has mathematical reasons why its now 50 % and not 33,33 %. if you know about it you understand.

so 50 % more density. i got about 35 grafts. so + 50 % that makes 52,5 grafts. and maybe if i stop smoking that makes my baby hairs grow out. so i get even more density. wow

that could help me get my hair full again without a hair transplant.

and DONT DISAGREE WITH NOW! because i need a reason to stop smoking, okay?

lol. i already quitted. :) tonight. :) and i didnt even smoke a last one. i dont miss it. so i hope thats a good sign that i will stay at it.

maybe some of your success is due to stop smoking. :) you know, it needs some time for recovery like with all other treatments. it doesnt come over night that your hair gets better due to stop smoking. ;)

Hey Neo1234,
I didn't know you were so young. Goodluck trying to quit. I went down that road, and I started smoking at 17. I didnt quick till 19/20, and I haven't looked back. I'm 21 now, and I'm doing great, but it was hard at first.

Just keep at it.

By the way, why are you talking about grafts? Did you receive implants?

Whom are you considering for the procedure?

I quit smoking cold-turkey, and I had some serious withdrawls for the first few weeks. I satisfied them by smoking a hookah, which has no nicotine, and less than .1% of the tar in a cigarette. I also drank a lot when I had the urge to smoke. By drinking, I mean lots of beer. LoL, an awful way to quit cigarettes, but every time I had the urge, I'd grab a beer. Call me crazy.
