A Hair System Behind a Receded Hairline - Is it worth a try?

I already know myself in that my biggest concern with a system would be the hairline. Making sure it always looks perfect, worrying about if there would ever be a slight lift. Can the person I'm talking to under this particular light see the base, etc. Is the bond breaking down a bit after today's hot shower when I have to be at work in a half hour, etc. Since my hair really only looks good with an exposed hairline, I would want to stick with that look. This bring me to my point - I have pretty severe receded temples but my forelock is still in semi decent shape, I'd say a 5 out of 10 thickness. In a perfect world I'd get a hairline transplant but before thinking about going down that rather serious route what do you guys think about the possibility of a piece behind a not so perfect hairline? I know installation would be the trickiest and hardest part, but if I could get away with it and milk it for a good few years before I have more loss and have to worry about a transplant or simply going with a full system, why not try? Also, since my forelock/hairline is still thin at the end of the day, having the denser system behind it would also give the illusion that the front is more dense. This would be the same case if I had a straight hairline too, of course. Below are pics to give an idea of what the cut out of the system would need to be and what my "hairline", or what's left of it, looks like.

p.s. I'm pretty certain that Matthew McConnaghey does something like this.

I don't understand why going through all this trouble? I don't think it will look right... you would need to go with a very low-density system, otherwise, it won't look balanced.

This is most evident looking at the top-down view.

I'm going through the trouble bc at the end of the day when blow dried nicely and slicked back I still do have a relatively decent looking and natural hairline, albeit receded. Would just be a shame to not at least attempt to try and utilize it. I do agree it would need to be a very low density system. My plan would be to first fold and place the system down temporarily with clips to see if it would look presentable. If all else fails I can go with the full system.
