7 Months On .5 Finasteride Expirience

Going on 7 months with finasteride daily..started it because i was mainly receeding in the temples..after 7 months of shedding i am left with the hair all over my head thin as hell..so i basically lost hair from the top and crown where it used to be thick as hell...now the shedding has stopped to a few hairs a day from like 50 a day..idk if i should continue with .5 or kick it up to the full 1mg

Will be almost no difference in DHT suppression with .5mg vs 1mg daily, so its up to you. Obviously the studies are on the 1mg daily so thats probably the safer route to go. Regardless, I wouldn't drop the finasteride. I had a similar response, had an insane amount of shedding like 4 months in and lasted until like the 1 year mark. Shedding significantly decreased after, but never got regrowth from that initial shed. Still continued to lose hair on finasteride as well, but at a slower rate, so the drug clearly doesn't work for everyone.

Kick it up to 1mg, people say .25 is basically like .5 which is basically like 1mg. Yet for me personally the only thing that's maintaining my hair is the fact that I now take 1mg 3-5xa week, as oppose to when I was taking .25-.5mg a day which caused my hair to noticeably further thin. You're already on finasteride so it's definitely worth a shot to take the medically recommended dose for another 6-12 months and try to squeeze out any benefit before you throw in the towel.

Yea my hair everywhere is thin as hell...when b4 i was just receeding...what a scam ..ill do the full 1mg till december and update then...sigh...so fuking depressing
