7.5 months on finasteride. Hesitations if I have male pattern baldness :)

What does bring me into considerations and hesitations?

1) Diffuse loss. Not only the thinning. But I loss approximately uniformly from all areas of head.
2) I lose not only on head, but my eyebrows, eyelashes, pubic hair even with higher rate than for hair on head. However, no bald areas for all mentioned above appear.
3) This moment the loss is subsided very much (may be, finasteride is working). But sometimes I have very excessive shed and it's not similar to what is concerned with finasteride (may be, finasteride is not working, because, this is not male pattern baldness).

Why did I think I had being developed male pattern baldness?

1) I had strong dandruff (now it's over with all these shampoos, etc.).
2) Doctor said "Oh, dandruff + loss of hair == male pattern baldness".
3) Receded temples. (afterwards I found that I had receded temples from my birth).

Having loss for two years, I'm calm now about whatever it is. If it's male pattern baldness, there is nothing better than finasteride. OK. Will wait for better treatments. What if it's not male pattern baldness?

So, the main question of my passage to you :) Does anyone have the same? What are your remarks? Any advices?

Thanks

i've lost a lot of hair on my sideburns, eyebrows, and eyelashes...i'm not really sure about pubic hair, but i'd venture to say it hasn't been affected. if finasteride is working for you, why not stick with it if you dont have any nasty sides? one way to tell is to get off it for a month or two and see if shedding begins again.

I don't have any sides from finasteride. All bad looking stories don't scare me as well as that I should take it until I want to keep hair or new treatment arrives...

I'm not going to drop it and stick into new theory of hair loss. Perhaps, the answer to my question is collaborative work of male pattern baldness and Telogen Effluvium. I want to see some facts - that is, examples from anyone who has the same.

As it has been shown countless number of times, HairLossTalk.com is better in predicting what type of hairloss you have :)
