So I'm into my fifth month on finasteride. So far the news isn't that good; I'm still shedding just as much as I always have (I think), and I think that I've lost somewhere in the neighborhood of 20-25% of my hair density within the past 18 months. I've never had that much hair, and what I do have is pretty thin, so now that my shedding has accelerated, I've noticed quite a difference.
I've read the faq, so I'm going to keep on taking finasteride until the 12 month mark. But I've just got one question: how long did it take until finasteride started working for most of you (assuming that it did work at all)? That is, how long before your hair loss stopped, or slowed down to an acceptable rate?
