Hi, I'm 40 and starting to thin on top. It's not that noticeable except to me. I'm not too stressed about it but just wanted to see what options there are moving forward.
I was speaking to an experienced hairdresser not so long ago, who was bald, who explained to me that there are new technologies available to combat hair loss. He said that the modern methods involve taking healthy hairy cells from the lower part of the scalp and injecting those cells into the top of the head where the balding occurs. He also said it's common for people to go to Turkey to get this treatment? He also said it's important to start the treatment as early as possible.
I guess if there's a 'magic bullet' then why not? I'm not sure about methods; I knew someone who started taking pills from the Belgravia Centre. He said the pills worked to regrow hair on his scalp but hair on the rest of his body started growing out of control whereupon he ceased.
So, is it worth putting money aside for this special treatment or better to face the music?
