It’s a few weeks early, but October will mark the fourth year of hairloss for me.
I began propecia 1mg a day July 2002. My hair started receeding the October before that. I wasted no time as I knew what was happening immediately.
Propecia slows down the loss to a snail's pace. Up until the beginning of this year I had nothing interesting to report. Even now, my hairline’s worse, but not too different from a year ago. Thinning is worse at the front, recession progresses a bit each year. The process can’t be stopped, but Propecia does create the illusion that it has gone away, which is nice as you can get on with your life.
I’ve been using Minoxidil 5% on my hairline for over two years or so. Nothing much to report, no real results (a few random hairs), but I’ll continue with the routine.
I’ve used Nizoral about as long as Propecia. Great shampoo - does what it says on the tin.
Added a few nice additions like green tea and Folligen (not strict use – just now and then).
I’ve updated my photos with a few for this month. Quality isn’t great, but the thinning is obvious. My left side is dreadful! I’m guessing a year or two before I go for a transplant. I’ll hold out as long as possible.
Thanks for your time.
