Hello all,
My name is Justin.
I've started noticing my hair falling out thought it was due to a scar on my head and never paid much attention until now. Within this last month i have 6+ bald spots and hair just falls out on desk in front of me if i touch head any bit. Baldness does not really run in my family. My Wedding is this coming Sunday and i'm so lost on what to do with my hair. I'm trying to schedule an appointment with the derm, but look for further assistant or assurance on what it could be. Don't know if maybe it is just stress? I don't feel stressed but i do go through alot here at work and this wedding ive just let my wifey deal with it more than i have. Can you guys take a look at these pictures and maybe let me know what you think.

I have some small patches in back of head right after neck the size of a nickel. Some on top and full left side is quite bald, but can be covered over with hair that will probably ending up falling out. I also think there is a small patch right above my right ear - right where hairline starts. Hair pulls out very easily.
1 picture is of the tub. washed my hair and lots fall out :(!!!
BTW i just patted my head down over desk and about 20-30 pieces fall onto it.

If it is also in the back of the head, in my opinion you probably have alopecia areata as well as typical male pattern baldness looking at things.

Definitely Alopecia Areata: https://www.niams.nih.gov/health_info/Alopecia_Areata/alopecia_areata_ff.asp

This isn't following any normal pattern of male pattern baldness and you have the symptom of circular areas that are falling out. You should see a specialist in this ASAP.

Some potential treatments mentioned here: https://www.naaf.org/alopecia-areata/alopecia-areata-treatments

I'm sorry this has happened to you. I don't know much about it but it sounds like there is some hope. I also don't know why I assume this, but other people probably think of an autoimmune disease like this differently than "balding". You aren't "balding" in the classic sense. You could get some dermmatch for a temporary fix, or you could shave your head. I think dermmatch would probably work great for the wedding and you can deal with the rest after.

Best of luck to you and congrats on getting married!

Well this doesn't make me feel any better i was hoping for a better answer :( I guess time to get this appointment scheduled up. I appreciate everyones opinions. If anyone has other opinions i would still like to here it whether it is the same answer as the rest or not. The more i have that confirm the more i will feel better about this.
I was hoping it was stress related hehe, i guess it could still be a factor.

aa is not the end of the world. it tends to grow back fully but these patches will probably keep popping up for the rest of your life. some docs use steroid injections to kickstart regrowth.
