24m. Should I Add Minoxidil? Worried About Long Term

Hi guys, so I've been on finasteride for while now, hitting 13 months a week or so ago on finasteride and I plan to take finasteride for the foreseeable future.

I've maintained quite a fair bit in comparison to what my hair looked like a year ago, and I've seen a really ever so slight thickening/regrowth over I'd say the past 4ish months. It does look better and not as bad as back then, especially when comparing identical haircuts a year ago with today.

2 questions

1). Should I stick with finasteride for the time being? It has gotten better but at a snails pace, and I understand it can take up to 1.5 years to 2 years to get further improved regrowth. I guess everyone is a victim of it, but comparing myself to the progress of others (which I know isn't always the case) where they've had a lot of regrowth in a much shorter time span, just makes me feel like what I have now is going to be as good as it gets.

2). Should I get on minoxidil? I've been on minoxodil once before when I was around 21, for about 2 months. At the time when I was going through he shedding phase had me scared shitless and I stopped using. Which in hindsight was a horrible idea and just progressed everything quicker. If I am to go back on min, I'm not too fussed about the initial shed or the task of applying it daily, as taking finasteride has become the norm for myself. My biggest concern is, if down the the line I decide to stop using minoxodil whether or not it has worked or hasn't worked, will the bring me down and make my hair worser to what I have right now? Or will any maintenance or regrowth from min be kept/maintained by the finasteride I'm taking right now?

Tldr : if I decided to go off minoxidil at any point, will it make my hair more worse than it is now, or will it level out to where finasteride would've taken me
