Hi guys, I'm a 24 year old guy with diffuse thinning that's getting progressively worse. I'm still not using anything to stop it.
When the hair's dry and kinda styled (no hair gel though because it makes it looks much worse) it doesn't look that bad, so no one besides some members of my family and a friend that's also balding have noticed (or at least no one has said anything). My hairline has barely receded, but it's getting thin all over the top of my head, especially at the crown.
Here are some pictures, but here the hair is dry and the lighting is not that strong, although I did use flash when I took the photos.

So here you can see how it doesn't look that bad if the top of my head is not very exposed, but the top is pretty thin - and again, if it doesn't appear that bad, it's because the hair is dry and adjusted.

Also, as it's not a typical male hair loss pattern, I'm trying to find out if some exact factor triggered it.
So I took some tests and here are the results. I have to add that I have an adrenal gland illness since birth.

(S) Estradiol 83 pmol/L 40 - 162
(S) Progesteron 12.3 nmol/L < 0.6
(S) LH 3.3 lU/L 0.6 - 12.1
(S) FSH 3.7 lU/L 1 - 12
(S) Testosterone total 21.6 nmol/L 8.3 - 30.2
(S) Free testosterone 505.6 pmol/L 174 - 729
(S) SHBG 41 nmol/L 15 - 100
(S) Androstendion 21.8 nmol/L 1 - 11
(S) DHEAs 1.3 μmol/L 3 - 11
(S) 17-hydroxyprogesterone (17-OHP) 394.0 nmol/L 1.5 - 7
(S) Cortisol 69 nmol/L 138 - 690

Unfortunately, the hospital where I was getting this done doesn't do DHT tests. :(

Can someone tell me if any of this hormone levels can be a factor in triggering/worsening hair loss?
Also, what treatment do you suggest I get on?

Any help is welcome.
Cheers :)

Your hair looks good. Peopel dont realize cause many have even naturally thinner hair and no male pattern baldness so the sides and hairline look good but i see the crown is diffusing. You can try finasteride or minoxidil but minoxidil will be a pain to rub in with all that hair.

Its diffuse thinning which is a pretty standard form of hairloss caused by DHT. Finasteride is your best bet. Your hair still looks awesome though. There is only one photo in the bunch you posted which makes me conclude u are losing ur hair and that is the top view where you can see the scalp over a a larger area than would be typical for a normal crown.

Thanks guys.

Can anyone comment on the hormone tests? Especially the 17-OHP test which is extremely elevated. Is there any link between high levels of 17-OHP and hairloss?
