Hey guys,

My story:
.I'm 24
.Always had really fine hair - I've always kinda looked bald even when I was young
.Always had a really high hairline - Was relatively straight though
.Recently noticed a patch by my crown. Pretty sure I've always had It, however as I've gotten older, my hair has darkened so it may just be more noticeable?
.I have small hairs along my hairline. Not sure it's it just because I had my hair permed and I damaged it or if it's because I'm receding
.Just started Fina, nizoral and Biotin

What do you guys think? Btw my hair is super greasy in the pics and I used the dreaded flash lol

Thanks

It's tough to say because most men get the patch on the their crown and it either worsens or stays at that level indefinitely. However if you're on those 3, especially the finasteride, then you will most likely improve or maintain what you have well into your 40s.

I've read that if finasteride is used during the most aggressive stage of hairloss then going off of it afterwards does not create a huge shedding like what happens with minoxidil (don't waste your time using that sh*t imo, it's bad for your skin, and is a potassium channel opener).

So just stick with what you're doing, lower your finasteride dose if you get any sides, and take a break from finasteride at least a month in advance when you attempt conceiving kids in the future :) (it leaches into the semen partially)

continue your regimen and get off the forums, just stay consistent and don't think about it until the aforementioned situation arises. Perhaps post an update 10 months from now

That's my thinking exactly. Even if I'm not going bald, then this regime will at least help me maintain for as long as I can. Just hope I don't get sides

And yea, I'm not about to start putting minoxidil on my head 2x a day. Like you said it messes up your skin and can make your hair look shitty anyway. Plus it's hella expensive.

Thanks for the response and advice bro.

Do you have any experience with finasteride?
