23 Years Old - Developing Mature Hairline or Onset of male pattern baldness?

Hello,

My hair is naturally thick and no signs of thinning on anywhere on crown. However, in the corners of my hairline I have noticed that over the past year or two the hair there is thin. I think I noticed this a few years ago but never paid much attention to it. I am not sure if this is just natural vellus hair or if this is miniaturised hair that signals the beginning of a receding hairline.

My father is in late 50s and still has a full head of hair. There is one bald uncle on my mother's side, and my grandfathers both had full heads of hair.

Just wanted to know your opinions because if it is developing male pattern baldness I want to make sure I am on top of it from the start to prevent any further recession.

Hairs right at the hairline are very wispy and fine. There really is no recession to speak of in your case. Only thing is that men have naturally sharper corners and tend to recede a bit, even if baldness does not occur, whereas women tend to keep a rounded hairline.
