22 Years Old, Am I Experiencing Miniaturization/diffuse Hair Loss?

Currently 22. I've had a widow's peak since I was born, and strange hair that sticks up like a wire brush my whole life. When I was 17 my right temple receded, when I was 20 the right side of my hairline thinned a little, but mostly changed directions. Some history of hair loss in the family. Mom's father and one of my mom's brothers is bald, the rest of them are NW2.5 at 55-65. I have a brother with no hair loss.

I've been able to pull many miniaturized hairs out of my scalp for almost 5 years now, but the pace of change seems to be accelerating. Can you take a look at the photos and tell me how correct that seems? My hair's a skin fade up to a #2 guard at present. Zoomed-in photos are of my crown and top of head. Flash is on in all of them.

As you can see, there's a lot of miniaturization.

Yes looks like it, hop on finasteride and minoxidil quick unless you want to become Norwood 8 in a few years.

I don't think so, the fade really throws me off though, definitely can't give an accurate answer based off these pics.

I obviously can't magic my hair longer, but would turning the flash off/picking a specific angle work better? I'm not too used to taking hair photos...

Record your head under a bright light (e.g., bathroom light). If your hair seems to look thin all over, you're okay. If your hair seems to look thin in just one area (e.g., your crown) then you're starting to thin.

Hopefully when I'm trying to explain makes sense, feel free to post the video over here for our opinions.

My phone's giving me trouble with the upload, but it looks fairly uniform all over...

Does that mean the miniaturization is normal? Or there's just not enough of it to matter?

If it looks uniform you're in the clear. I would just continue to keep an eye on your hair if you're worried.
