I've gotten a few comments about balding lately and brushed them off but I'm starting to realize it is true. I always doubted it because of a naturally high hairline I'd had since I was a little boy.

I'm looking to start the big three. My head is full of hair just receding in the front/front sides. Should I apply rogaine to just this area since the rest of my hair is fine? The rest of my hair is a bit thin but it always has been that way.
Looking to start right now. Any good rogaine-like products at walmart or off amazon you guys recommend?

Thanks

Honestly, your temples and temple points look like they have receded. I personally don't think you need to use rogaine, but if you want to maximize your regrowth then use rogaine on the temples and temples points. I would only take finasteride and use a keto shampoo, but those 2 probably won't give you regrowth, you will be lucky to maintain with just finasteride and keto shampoo. Its up to you, if you want the most regrowth use rogaine, finasteride, and keto shampoo. The only reason I wouldn't use rogaine for your case is the fact that you don't have that much to regrow, and its somewhat of a hassle in my opinion. Ultimately, the choice is yours. Cheers!

Honestly your hair loss is at a very early stage. finasteride is the best thing for you at this stage because you are unlikely to get regrowth with Minoxidil on the temples. Get a script for finasteride and you will probably maintain what you have.
If you do not get on finasteride you are going to be fighting a losing battle on minoxidil because you are fighting one of the main causes of hair loss being DHT.

Early stages. Get on finasteride, maintain then get a transplant in the future

Thanks guys. I think I'll give rogaine a shot as well. Wouldn't be much of a hassle IMO and if it bothers my I'll just stick with the other two.

What makes it unlikely for regrowth? The fact that it is on the temple? Is that harder to improve than the rest of the head?
