As the title says I am 22 and I am balding. Currently I am around a NW3 on the left side, and maybe a NW2.5 on the other side. I only noticed my recesion when I was around 20-21, but after looking on some pics from when I was 19, I realized that my hairline started receding around that time.
I have been using minoxidil and nizoral consistently for around 7 months without seeing any improvement, It just got a bit worse. The hair that I have is still very thick, except where it recedes, where i can see it thinning.
My question is: can finasteride maintain my current hair and maybe make the hairs around my hairline that are miniatuarizing grow thicker and longer? That would be amazing. Otherwise I am just thinking of buzzing my hair to a 0 and forget about it, because it drives me insane since i noticed it.
Also, where can I buy Finasteride at a reasonable price online? My dermatologist said she won't prescribe finasteride to me because it's only for old guys that are already bald (yeah, makes no sense).
