Hey there gang,

little background, growing up throughout highschool i was always known for having greath thick brown curly long hair. my mom convince me to get a haircut for graduation and thats when i really noticed my hairloss, my pictures were embarrasing and i couldnt believe what i was seeing. I pretty much lost all self confidence in my hair. I do not have any hair photos from that time but remember it had receded. for the past few years i have basically been living in a hat, I would consider myself a good looking kid but no brad pit. fast forward a bit.

I let my hairloss take over my life, hiding it from everybody untill about 1 year ago when i said enough was enough, and purchased a one month supply of rogaine foam. My hairline really isnt that bad, but when combined with my long hair its pretty obvious to me. i buzzed my head thinking it would help, but it just made it worse. for the past year ive been spending tons and tons on spectral DNC (almost 70$ a month + 30 for the shampoo) and right away i saw great results, i had tiny baby hairs sprouting on my hairline where i could see my original hairline in the correct light. so when i started, i was amazed and was so excited to get my hairline back.. 10 months later i really havent seen the sucess i was hoping for, i DO believe it has worked sightly, i believe i have gotten some hairline back but the hairs are very thin and white and dont seem to grow at the speed the rest of my hair does

I would be very happy if i could just get the hair i have to grow as normal adult hairs and grow at the speed the rest does. i am maybe at a NW1-2.

My question to you guys is

IS THERE HOPE fOR ME?

What is the best method for maximizing the hair that i already have, i want my thin little baby hairs to turn into adult hairs . i was thinking of trying out the Nioxil shampoo with contunued use of minoxidil. im not expecting an overnight miracle but after the 10 months i needa little confidience. can i turn my baby hairs into normal growing hair? It seems like i just need to nourish my scalp to let it grow the hairs i have

heya man :)

Sorry to hear it's been so hard for you, and I can completely, completely understand. Hair loss is always horrible >.<

I think in terms of controlling it topically, minoxidil and a daily azole (ketoconazole or miconazole) is a pretty good bet. On top of that, something like Folligen or maybe spironolactone will boost things further, although these days spironolactone is looking more and more outdated as stuff like CB-03-01 is rising on the horizon!!

For now... I'd chuck in a daily azole with your minoxidil! Maybe use Nizoral every other day and miconazole on the off-days, that's the kind of thing I might start to do.

I think Folligen (copper peptides) is supposed to be particularly good at remodelling collagen and giving additional regrowth, so perhaps you could use the cream on just the areas where you are trying to actually regrow, as well as the other two.

I hope that helps anyway. I feel for you man and my hair has been a real struggle since all this started. Stay strong dude ^^

Propecia. Propecia/finasteride is the answer (for now) to hair loss. If your hair is falling out due to too much DHT attacking your hair follicles, then finasteride is (currently) your best bet.

I've had good results with finasteride/rogain for the last 3+ years
