Hello everyone,
I am a new member here. I've been noticing a receding hairline since I was 18, but I didn't think anything of it until about a year ago or so. The recession wasn't significant enough to bother me until recently.
My father is almost 50 and he has a full head of hair, and so is my mother and 23 year old brother. However, my mother's father is currently bald and lost his hair at about 35 years of age.
I've done my research, and I'm well aware of the fact that I need to start taking propecia in order to prevent further hair loss. Also, I am aware of the fact that minoxidil+nizoral will potentially regrow some of my lost hair. My questions are these:
1. Should I schedule a doctors appointment in order to get prescribed propecia? Essentially the Doctor will already tell me what I know - which is I have male pattern baldness; therefore, would't visiting a Doctor be a waste of money? I'm a college student, and cant afford unnecessary expenses such as these.
2. That being said, is it possible to purchase propecia online without a prescription?
3. How much does propecia cost at any typical drug store?
4. Should I use minoxidil?
5. I really would love to thicken up some of my hairs around the temples, they aren't completely gone yet, just thinned out. Is thickening temple hairs possible for someone my age? I am a healthy eater, young, and I work out every day.
I would truly appreciate any help.
Cheers!
