Hello all,
Unfortunately i have been experiencing severe hair loss since i was 20, i have tried many things; taking biotin, various vitamins, etc. nothing seems to work. I am now at the point of considering a hair system as my hair is starting to look rather silly. I hike, snowboard, and participate in a couple outdoor activities. I occasionally swim but never in pools, only lakes, oceans, and rivers, but it is very rare if i do. I am wondering if a full cap hair system is a good choice, i do still have hair on the sides but it is rather thin and whispy to the point of the hair loss being noticeable if cut short. I have done research on getting just the top hair system and have found that it tends to look ridiculous and noticeable on people with thinning sides. I thought for a while that i might just have the hair dresser keep it long to cover up the thinning sides as i have had my hair my entire life but after doing research into that it seems as though its extremely hard to blend if you are just doing a top piece. Now i am deciding on whether or not i should get a full cap. what are others experiences with a full cap? I have read that around the nape area the wig tends to pull on the head and make it very uncomfortable to perform normal neck movements such as looking up and down. Would i still be able to snowboard, hike, etc with the full cap or would it get unbearably hot, itchy, which could potentially in turn cause the glue bond to come loose? how long does a typical wig glue hold the wig in place before having to worry about it coming loose? what have other males experienced when wearing a full cap? are you constantly worried it will fall off, uncomfortable, unable to sleep in it, etc? I also go camping and traveling, would i be able to continue participating in those activities without having to worry about my hair piece falling off or coming loose?

Thanks to all who take the time to read and respond, it is greatly appreciated :)

You might as well transplant if u cannot maintain

i hardly sweat, I've never been much of a person to sweat during sports or hikes. I also am not going to do a transplant because i have seen how bad they can potentially turn out. that and I'm not willing to go through the period where your hair looks like complete sh*t because the transplanted hairs are in the process of growing, i still have a lot of hair its just thinning on top and sides, but honestly i doubt many notice because my hair is naturally thick. Can any one with experience with hair systems help share their experience with them?
