Hey guys.
I'm 20 years old, and these past few months I've become really concerned over my hair. Every barber I've ever gone too has complimented me on how thick it is, how it's almost hard to cut as it's so thick.
Recently though, I've noticed so many hairs falling out. In fact one just fell on the iPad whilst typing this! Am I going mad or Is it because it's so thick and quite long? Read somewhere you can lose 100 a day. But is that true, seems too many for men's hair.
It feels thinner, the pictures with flash you can see how thin it is around the crown. I'm not sure if I'm receeding either, I'll attach some photos.
As my concern was getting bigger, I went to my Dr who didn't really help too much to be honest. Just asked about changing shampoos which I don't think I have, and she said have more vitamins. She said I could have blood tests to see if I have any deficiencies which could of cause this. Nothing came up in results. But she didn't actually get up and examine which I'd of liked.
My Dad is well in his 50's with a full head of hair, but a mature hairline. It looks like it's receeding but it isn't, it's always been the same way. and still the natural colour.
He doesn't think I'm losing hair, but I feel I am. I'm just too young for this! Comparing with other people isn't really helping either.
I'm trying to look at old photographs but it's so difficult to know, I know this can be stress related but if anything I'm probably only stressing over worrying about this.
I've read about different drugs Minoxidil etc do I need these, or am I going mad. There is a bald patch at the crown. Is there anything I can do, or is this normal?
Thank you guys, I'll put some photos up. and will read through any comments.
Thanks so much
