2 Weeks without minoxidil

I've been using the Kirkland 5% stuff for months now and it's been helping a lot.

However, due to a sudden financial issue I won't be to afford any more for at least a couple of weeks.

Anyone been through a similar experience? I mean, can I expect a big shed or more thinning?

Yeah man, I have pretty much no money until I get paid next Thursday and then it takes minoxidil direct like a week to send the stuff here to Northern Ireland.

Thanks for the offer to send some bottles over but it's probably not that big a deal. I mean in the over all time line of taking minoxidil most people who use it are gonna have periods where they miss applications.

I'll just hope that I don't lose any progress and try to stop thinking about it.

Actually it would be interesting to know what is the maximum period of missing minoxidil with no bad effect? Anyone who dropped it, how fast the things started to get bad?

I'm not in the same situation as Tom yet, but I fear it might happen to me one day too... (I'm a student with no regular income in a crappy economy country). I guess it's best to always plan ahead and always have a few months worth supply, just in case...

Btw - is it the same with Finasteride?

Nope no shedding yet but honestly I never shed. My hair loss is caused by thinning rather than hair actually falling out.

Applying minoxidil helped thicken up the hairs at my temples and I could kinda stop worrying about it. Now I'm worried that I'm gonna lose all my progress.

But I'll have more ordered on Thursday and I still have Nizoral so I guess it could be worse.

Funnily enough i came on this forum because i stopped using Min for a month and my hair looks awful! Im just waiting for a delivery but im so annoyed! Im using a concealer and my hair still looks bad!
