I ordered some from Dr Lee's website and was under the impression that it would come with a dropper. But it has a little dauber applicator on the end of the bottle instead... Anyone know how I can apply this to the whole of the scalp? :dunno:

I bought a glass eye dropper from the drug store when I got 2% spironolactone. You might give that a shot or use an old minoxidil dropper. Make sure you rinse off all the minoxidil thouroughly though as Dr. Lee states minoxidil and spironolactone degrade eachother overtime.

Don't mind me jumping in here but... What? You mean, if you use both spironolactone and minoxidil, they'll both stop working over time? Or at least, stop working as well?

How do you prevent that?

Needles to say, I'm interested in using spironolactone. The topical version of coarse.

They take quite a few hours to degrade each other. By that time they would have absorbed...spironolactone actually helps minoxidil absorb.

BUT if you put them in the same container obviously they are just going to degrade and not absorb. So, you can use both on your head at the same time. But you have to use separate containers.

Never understood why it was just 2% if spironolactone is so weak as people claims... Hard to make 5% liquid or do it absorbs better so its not needed with 5%?

We really need a good clinical trial on spironolactone and spironolactone + minoxidil combo :)
