Hey all, been using Propecia for about a year, and nizoral for about 6 months. Yesterday i just started using rogaine on hairline. I applied and nothing bothered me. The next morning i got up to shower and started using my Nizoral shampoo which i use about twice a week. When applying the nizoral my scalp kinda was stinging, but obviously only in the area where i applied the rogaine along the hairline. What should i do? DOes this happen often, will it be less severe as the days go on? Should i stop rogaine? Will this irritation during shampooing be more damaging then healthy? Any advice or personal experience regarding this manner will be much appreciated!!!

Maybe the stinging is caused by adding too much Minoxidil to the area. I haven't experience stinging before, but I would only assume that the itching and stinging experienced with it will regress. Now that I think about it, when I first applied Rogaine to my hairline, it looked and felt sunburned.

Nizoral is a strong shampoo, and it can dry the scalp up a lot. How often do you use Nizoral?

I'm sorry, I wish I could help you more, but I'm still sobering up from last night.

If you feel that the irritation is actually hurting the skin, then by all means stop for a while. You can always get on it later.

Goodluck

minoxidil usually causes irritation in the beginning. For many people it goeas away after a few weeks. If it doesn't then you need to take action either in the form of finding something that soothes the scalp or quitting min

Irritation from minoxidil use can be calmed use a copper peptide treatment such as Tricomin or American Crew revitalise.
