i posted this in the other sections of the forum but no replies so i'll try posting here too

ok maybe im not balding but my hair feels a lot finer than usual....does it mean im on the way to balding?
it doesnt feel as thick as it use to be but my hair seems to be growing fine.

when my hair is dry my hair looks fine and thick...but when its wet it seems thin and fine and my head is quite visible...maybe i am just worried and this is probably nothing but how can i make my hair stronger and thicker?

will using hair conditioner help strengthen my hair?

thanks

whats up man, im 20 and realized the same thing you did. my hair has been very short for the last year and half b/c i shaved it a couple of times, not out of balding, but just b/c. but i realized that it wasnt growing as fast and beginning this summer, 2005 i began to see hairs in my hands when i would shower. i have gone through some of the most stressful periods of my life this summer and last year, so i thought it was stress related, but its not. what you say about the thinning and fineness of your hair sounds like whats happening to me. also, what you say about being able to see your head when your hair is wet is similar to my developing situation. i went to see a dermotologist a few days ago and he said it was most likely the beginning stages of male pattern baldness, which sucks. luckily he prescibed me propecia and said that in my situation it should work in keeping me from losing my hair, which is all i really want to do anyway. so thats what ive got for you, my best bet is that if your family has history of male pattern baldness, you may be experiencing the first stages, but im not a doctor. good luck.

well when i shower i dont really see a large amount of hair coming out but there are some like 2-3 strands...i dont think thats a lot
since im not actually balding i just want to know how i can strengthen my hair without seeing a doctor.
are there any hair products i can just grab off the shelf that will make me have stronger strands of hair?
