Hi all....im from lahore, pakistan and although i have a full head of hair but that may not be the case for long. Apparently you cant tell whether there is hair loss or not but i have noticed a recent increase. I feel my hair is thinning and it more brittle than it was a while back. They dont fall out much but iam easily able to pluck out a few strands(2-3 generally) on medium-strong pull. I would really appreciate some suggestions and it would be great if anyone could recommend a good dermatologist in my area.

Finasteride (1.25mg) as Proscar (5 mg), quartered
Minoxidil 5% liquid once or twice a day
Ketoconazole 2% shampoo e.g. nizoral

take photos and post here if you'd like a second opinion

This is the only effective hair loss treatment. Dermatologists are useless for hair loss, go see a hair loss specialist instead if you can.

I agree with GoldenMane. Posting photos will give us a much better idea as to whether you truly are going bald and if so, how aggressively.

Your hair looks great to me. You look like you have minor thinning around the temple region but it could just be the development of a mature hairline. I wouldn't worry too much, just keep an eye on it.

While I agree you hair looks good, i think there might (not certain) be some miniaturisation in your hairline, right in the middle, and at your temples. I reccomend seeing a specialist just in case. You may be absolutely fine, but there is nothing wrong with getting a professional opinion.

If your hair is becoming brittle, that may be a sign of anemia, or other vitamin/mineral deficiencies rather than male pattern baldness. Try taking multivitamin with iron supplements and see if that makes an improvement.

it may dry out your skin a bit more than soft water but that's about it. It has nothing to do with hair loss at all. but if you are concerned about what it might do to your hair or skin, get a water filter. Cheers
