It’s called male pattern baldness because it follows a specific pattern that is predictable and (usually) gradual. Telogen Effluvium doesn’t; it’s random, appears and fully manifests itself 3-4 months after serious bodily trauma. The chances of Telogen Effluvium presenting in the exact same pattern and ratio as one would see in early male pattern baldness are slim to none and that’s being generous.
