Well, im 19 yrs old, and i havn't had hairloss yet (i say yet, because i most likely will have male pattern baldness in the future since 95 % of both my mom and dad's side males have male pattern baldness)

anyways, i really want to workout (Lift weights), but i am so scared that it will speed up the process of me getting male pattern baldness (if i am going to get it), that i have not worked out in like 6 months.

I read that lifting weights can cause hairloss, but then i read that it shouldn't.
So i am really confused, but i have stopped working out just in case.

So should i be worried, and better off not lifting weights, or is it ok to?

What i mean by lifting weights, is like 3 times a week, and lifting heavy.

Thanks

LOL....

There have been MANY posts on this forum stating "if i life weights will i lose hair" and "if i masturbate will i lose hair" and the answer to those has always been NO!!! You won't lose hair.

It's better to work out and be healthy. It won't impact hairloss. Hairloss is genetically inherited. Work out all you want.

Dude, even if I wasn't loosing hair I wish I would have started hitting the gym earlier than this past year (i'm 22). Weight training has given me so much more confidence in myself than having my hairstyled when I was younger ever did.

Seriously just go workout, nothing bad is going to happen.

Lifting weights is not going to cause you to lose your hair.

You can create a weightlifting routine and follow it without worrying if it is going to start you down the hair loss road.

On the weightlifting side, since you are planning on lifting heavy, try not to overdo it because this can lead to muscle strain and you may then have to take a couple of weeks off to recover.
