Started losing hair around 17-18. I am 18 now and here is my regime.

Currently a Norwood 2.5. Low hairline but deep receded temples.

Monoxidil Foam 2x Per day. Once in AM. Once in PM.
Finasteride 1mg per day with a meal.
Nutrafol 4 tablets per day with a meal.
Nizoral shampoo every other day.

Just also had PRP done with advanced micro needle technique. So I am doing basically all you can humanly do to help hair loss. Please let me know what you think and if my hair loss can be salvaged.

Looks like a great regimen. You may want to use a derma roller once/week 1.5mm per day as well. But you are already doing a lot. Now just don't look at your hair for 6 months and wear a hat and then reassess then lol...that is the hard part.

I've always wanted to know, is the shedding from say, Minoxidil a look into the future on your hairloss situation? Or, is hair shedding unconditional to all follicles minoxidil systemically affect?

I don't think anyone really knows. What seems to be accepted is that it sheds hair that is in the telogen phase or about to enter the telogen phase (essentially hair that is detaching from the root and is easy to pull out). Normally this hair would shed over a period of months but Minoxidil sheds it in a period of weeks. The hope is then all those shed hairs will all be replaced with anagen hairs which Minoxidil also seems to prolong.

Temples seem to be the hardest to regrow. My theory is that it is related to skull/scalp development while the crown is less so hence why it is usually easier to regrow. Some people will stone me for saying that.

Both the makers of Rogaine and Propecia never claimed they will regrow temples because they could not definitely PROVE it. This does not mean it does not happen. I think the PRP (something I know very little about), derma rolling and massage plays aa bi roll for the temples because again I feel it is a more structural issue as opposed to just DHT. This is why it is SO common in even people without male pattern baldness.

Just be aware that your temples look like a normal male's temples. The temples are the most accepted form of recession because every male eventually suffers from it in some way.

This is definitely not true. I have personally known a few different guys at 40+ that have almost zero temple recession. Id agree with you that MOST do though if you want to consider that "normal"

"Both the makers of Rogaine and Propecia never claimed they will regrow temples because they could not definitely PROVE it."

They could prove it, but they wanted best case to sell a product. The best case response is the crown so they studied that to show the best numbers for regrowth. The crown responds better than the temples, but all hair is to some extent vulnerable to androgens.

No, don't give up. Your current temples can thicken & maintain. But the quest to become a Norwood 1 is out of question even with the strongest of treatments, that don't come with unworthy sides.
prp wont make a norwood 1..? and what WOULD i need to do to get to a NW1?
