18 And Worried About Propecia Shedding (pics)

Hey guys,
I started Propecia a few weeks ago and have had fairly infrequent showers since (camping), but when I do wash my hair a crazy amount falls out and I can see pretty much straight through it from above. Is this a normal amount of shedding for an 18 year old? Everyone in my family is bald (starting early 20s) so I wanted to be proactive. Also, it’s been pretty bad and see through for a while, but now seems worse.

Was your hair like that before Propecia?

You have aggressive hair loss, and you mentioned the family history (bald in their early 20's). I'm not sure what you are expecting anyone here to say other than you are in serious trouble.
Hopping on propecia and trying other things like minoxidil would be a worthwhile pursuit since you already know that you basically only have a few years left.
It would be cool if you tackled the issue and DID NOT go bald.

More or less, I just feel so much hair falling out when I shower, but older pictures aren’t much better. I’ll concede that in person it’s MUCH less noticeable, having light hair gives that impression on pictures, but it’s obviously not great. Another weird thing is that it doesn’t seem to follow much of a pattern- the entire top is see through like that at the same rate
