Perhaps talk to your parents, so you'd could possibly see a dermatologist. And go from there, but if anything maybe try minoxidil. Hair loss at a young age is stressful and terrible, but with the right treatments it can be stopped. You may also have a maturing hairline. Hopefully a derm or expert can tell you for sure. But don't worry about it too much. Just monitor it and if it gets worse hop on finasteride when you're old enough. I hope any of what I said helps.

With the pandemic my parents won't let me step out of the house and they would think hairlass isn't serious enough of a problem to leave also is it true that minoxidil and finasteride have serious side effects?

I think the whole finasteride side effects is way overblown. Im taking dutasteride and i have 0 side effects. I'm also taking oral minoxidil and using topical with none. Side effects are possible with finasteride but its in 2% of cases or even less than that and it went away after discontinuing it. Ive seen a lot of posts claiming permanent side effects after just a week or 2 of taking finasteride and Its bs. A lot of these side effects are in people's heads. If it takes 6 months to a year for the medication to build up and have an effect, wouldn't it be the same for side effects? I'm not trying to discredit those who have actually had side effects but I feel as though the majority of people claiming them are suffering some kind of placebo effect

You have absolutely no idea about what you are talking about, "doctor", absolutely none. And better do some research before talking about what does it mean a 6 month buildup and how the medicine actually works, it's 6 month buildup has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the drug starts working after a couple of hours after you ingest your first pill. The process does not start in your scalp tissue where your balding problem is, it starts in your liver and prostate and it takes 6 months to see results and have an actual scalp tissue buildup because it's referring to the consistency of the drug in your tissue, and you see results after 3-6 months depending on the hair cycles, not because it take 6 months for the medicine to start working...

As i said, you have absolutely no f*****g idea about what your talking about and with all that your "presenting yourself" through your comments like you are some kind of knowledgeable person in the subject, when in reality you don't know sh*t...

That's your argument @Grim? A f*****g dislike? just lol, come with some counters or facts that prove that what i am saying is wrong and that you are right, or you just like to spread your opinions as facts even if they are based on literally bullshit and nothing?

Dutasteride actually takes around 4 months for it to build up, so he’s not that off
